At MIDCARDS, we are big fans of the art on MTG cards. So much so, a big feature of our Instagram content is matching the cards with nail art.
After each month we will gather together our matches in a blog post, with a short explanation of how we would use each card in a Commander deck.

Why use it in a Commander deck?
A creature with flying and lifelink.
Cast a spell during an opponent’s turn to give out a -1/-1 counter.
Use in decks with instants and spells with flash.

Why use it in a Commander deck?
A sorcery to dig for up to two basic lands.
Use in any deck with Green.

Preston, the Vanisher
Why use it in a Commander deck?
A token generator for creating 0/1 illusion copies.
Use the mana ability to exile a nonland permanent.
Use in blink decks that flicker out creatures.

Fire Prophecy
Why use it in a Commander deck?
An instant to deal 3 damage to a creature.
An optional step for draw.
Use in burn decks.

Bender’s Waterskin
Why use it in a Commander deck?
An artifact for ramp.
Untaps during each other players untap step too.
Use in any deck.

Meren of Clan Nel Toth
Why use it in a Commander deck?
A legendary creature to gather experience counters.
Track the counters for possible creature recursion.
Use as a Commander.

River Boa
Why use it in a Commander deck?
A creature with islandwalk.
Use the mana ability to regenerate.
