At MIDCARDS, we are big fans of the art on MTG cards. So much so, a big feature of our Instagram content is matching the cards with nail art.
After each month we will gather together our matches in a blog post, with a short explanation of how we would use each card in a Commander deck.

Etched Cornfield
Why use it in a Commander deck?
A handy land that taps for Green or White with an interesting condition.
Use in decks with White and Green.

Phoenix Chick.
Why use it in a Commander deck?
This 1/1 with flying and haste for one red will always be a cheeky include.
Although unable to provide cover as a flying blocker, this little phoenix can come back from the graveyard to help out if you are attacking with three or more creatures.
Interesting to see some graveyard recursion in Red.
Use in decks with Red.

Titania’s Command
Why use it in a Commander deck?
A sorcery with options - hooray!
Exile a graveyard and gain some life, get yourself two tapped lands, create two 2/2 green Bears or buff your creatures with two +1/+1 counters each.
And better than that - choose two!
Flexible sorceries like this are great to include and can be used differently depending on the game state.
Use in decks with Green.

Spore Frog
Why use it in a Commander deck?
Fog Frog! A creature with an instant speed ability that could save you from losing the game.
A great combo piece to get back from the graveyard to use again and again. Combine with White and use with Abiding Grace or Ajani, Adversary of Tyrants.
Have Kenrith, the Returned King as your Commander? Include a Spore Frog and make use of Kenrith’s Black mana ability.
Use in decks with Green making use of graveyard recursion.

Make Your Move
Why use it in a Commander deck?
Who doesn’t love some removal?
This versatile instant will help get rid of an artifact, enchantment or powerful creature (power 4 or greater).
Decide what is the biggest threat and remove it from the board!
Use in decks with White.

Animist’s Might
Why use it in a Commander deck?
Damage without attacking - yes please!
This super sorcery lets you target a creature or planeswalker to deal damage to. Double the power of the creature you chose as the target of this spell. The added bonus being the cost reduction if you select a legendary creature to unleash the pain.
Use in creature decks with Green.
