At MIDCARDS, we are big fans of the art on MTG cards. So much so, a big feature of our Instagram content is matching the cards with nail art. After each month, we will gather together our matches in a blog post - with a short explanation of how we would use each card in a Commander deck.

Demonic Counsel
Why use it in Commander?
This low cost Sorcery could let you dig for a Demon.
Triggering the Delirium ability opens up the possibilities to return any card from your graveyard to your hand.
Use in a Kaalia of the Vast deck.
Don't forget to shuffle!

Angelic Wall
Why use it in Commander?
You may not have fliers in your deck, but a flying blocker is a must! This creature with defender has a handy toughness of 4 to help you out.
Use in any deck with White.

Priest of Titania
Why use it in Commander?
A must have for any Elf deck. This creature is an invaluable mana dork, ready to ramp up your available green mana.
Use it in an Elf typal deck.

Mazemind Tome
Why use it in Commander?
A multi-use artifact is always great to see.
Mazemind Tome tap abilities include scry 1, and paying 2 for draw. Build up those page counters for 4 life when you are ready to exile it!
Use in artifact and lifegain decks.

Fertile Ground
Why use it in Commander?
Reduce that feeling of being one mana short with this aura.
Enchanting a land brings an additional one mana at a tap. Not only that, the added mana can be of any colour.
Use in any deck with Green.

Dazzling Denial
Why use it in Commander?
Everyone loves a counterspell right? This delightful choice does give your opponent the chance to block the counter. But give yourself a better chance by including some Birds in your deck and they have to pay 4 instead!
Use it in any deck with Blue.

Ragged Playmate
Why use it in a Commander deck?
Paying 1 and tapping this Toy can make a power 2 or less creature unblockable.
Particularly useful if you have a way of enabling that creature to attack with a higher toughness…
Use in decks with Red that have low-powered creatures.

Living Phone
Why use it in a Commander deck?
A possible draw for a low-power creature when Living Phone dies.
Could be useful when using Ragged Playmate.
Use in decks with White that have low-powered creatures.
